TaylorMade Vs TaylorMade Longest Drive Competition at GOLFWORX was held from 16th -25th April
Launching the availability of TaylorMade’s latest collection of drivers— R9 SUPERTRI & Burner SUPERFAST— at GOLFWORX’s Pro Shop, the golf enthusiasts were engaged in a 10-day long activity of the Longest Drive Competition. Held across the High Definition Golf simulators at GOLFWORX, the event was a hit amongst players as much as it was with the spectators. Over 110 people participated in the competition & gracing the grand finale was Andreas Gellner, MD, Adidas India, who made the candid confession that “I haven’t seen a facility such as GOLFWORX in Asia.” As finalists contested Beat the Pro challenge, they locked horns with professional golfer Manav Jaini to win the R9 SUPERTRI driver. Certainly, this was a BIG HIT!!
Dewar’s Open 2010 – India’s Largest Indoor Golf Tournament : 1st-30th May
Indeed history was created and fashionably so when the thrill of a perfect swing, the fancy clubs & a round of 18 holes—all sans the sweltering heat of Delhi summer— converged on a single platform called Dewar’s Open 2010, India’s Largest Indoor Golf Tournament.
The colossal event that lasted a month teed off at GOLFWORX in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon on 1st May and witnessed a participation of 329 top corporate golfers, all of whom showcased their golfing skills as they played California’s Pebble Beach Golf Links.
The participants included the likes of Andrew Horne (Managing Director, Xerox India), Taranjeet Singh (Head of Advertising Sales, BBC) and LV Sastry (Vice President, Bharti Airtel), Greesh Bindra (GM Crowne Plaza), Prabhdev Singh (Editor, Golf Digest India) & Rajeev Mittal (Microsoft).
With Ping as the Official Equipment partner & Oakley as the Official Eyewear of the tournament, it was a serious competition and the players contended for several remarkable prizes.
Adding a dash of glamour amidst all the serious golfing was Gen-next industrialist Vikram Baidyanath and noted socialite Noor Ansal, who hosted an evening at Golfworx that saw fashion designers Sidhartha Tytler, Gaurav Gupta, Payal Kapoor, Bharti Bhalla, Socialites Tanisha Mohan, Ramola Bachchan, Anita Bhattal, Navin Ansal and Raseel Gujral, Luxor’s Priya Jain, Pushpanjali Sharma, Arvind Krishnan and many more got together to celebrate the noted sport and scotch. Additionally, Deepak Agarwal, who was the founding partner of Soul Kitchen, a continental restaurant/bar in Delhi also hosted a similar evening that saw fashion designers Nikhil Mehra with wife Vidushi, Ambrish Kumar of Ritu Kumar Designs, Socialite Reena and Jasper Lindorff, Exporter Rahul Shrinagesh, Banker Hardy Mitra and many others.

TaylorMade National Drive Demo : 12th - 13th June
The Golfworx simulator zone turned into an experience where enthusiastic golfers came across the demo of TaylorMade’s latest products. While The Longest Drive & the Monster Putt contests ran alongside, a total of 40 golfers participated. The longest drive of the contest was a whopping 309 yards.
